About MoveToCyprus

What this site is, and what it deliberately is not.

MoveToCyprus exists because the information people need in order to move to Cyprus is scattered across Facebook groups, forum threads and blog posts of unknown age — and because most of it is written as if everyone moving here follows the same procedure. They do not.

An EU citizen registers and gets on with it. Someone who needs a visa starts the paperwork months before they travel. Someone from a visa-waiver country arrives freely, then discovers the permit track begins the moment they want to stay longer than a tourist. Averaging those three into one article is how the confusion starts, so the guide branches instead.

Where the content comes from
Legal and administrative procedures — residence, tax, healthcare, customs — are taken from official government sources. Everything else, from banks to schools to service providers, is checked against what those organisations publish themselves.
How freshness is handled
Every article records when it was last reviewed and links its sources. A scheduled process re-checks those sources and proposes updates, but nothing is ever published without a human approving it.
What it does not do
No lead forms, no commissions, no referral links, no ratings and no "verified" badges. Nobody here checks licences, so claiming otherwise would be worse than saying nothing.
